ABOUT GABRIELLE

Hi there! I’m Gabrielle — a PARIS & NYC-based media relations expert & PR strategist with 10+ years of experience working for both brands and agencies. As a former (and occasional!) freelance writer, my specialty is understanding the desires & demands of modern media and striking the balance between brand missions & media-friendly narratives via powerful messaging, strategic pitching, and rapid iteration.

Elephant in the room — PR has gotten a weird rap. Debating the “why” would take us hours, but PubLIZity didn’t strike a chord for nothin’. All in all, I believe it boils down to a chronic lack of transparency & commonplace reliance on old school tactics (mass emails, lack of empathy, quantity over quality, etc.) The good news is — the landscape is rapidly-changing, and I’m passionate about figuring out where it’s going (and taking you along with me).

Modern PR would be all but unrecognizable to the bygone era of regularly-issued (and, let’s be honest, faxed) press releases. Today’s PR strategy consists of everything from brand positioning & messaging alignment, pitch ideation & iteration, affiliate set-up & maintenance, media relationship upkeep, sampling management, event concepting, campaign creation … and more. A good PR strategy will be collaborative and communicative — focused on combining the most impactful action items at any given moment, aligning on success metrics, and setting both short term & long term goals.

Are we a fit?

While a decade in PR means that, for all intents & purposes, I’ve done it all — there are some areas about which I’m particularly passionate .

As of late, I’ve honed in on early stage start-ups (< 5 years) with compelling missions and unique differentiation points. Regardless of whether you’re providing a product or service, I’m especially excited about the idea of breaking down existing barriers and challenging outdated perceptions. Maybe that means you’re tackling an unnecessarily “taboo” women’s health solution, are shaking up misconceptions around “wellness”, are a founder with an exceptionally unique background, or are simply driven to shift the way we view our everyday surroundings.

Like most of us, my best work is done when I’m passionate, so I’ll always be honest with you about whether our missions align.
